Bharat Petroleum 19 EV Fast-Charging Corridors Along Highways in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has installed 19 EV fast-charging corridors along 15 highways in Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The fast-charging stations have been installed between 110 fuel stations which have been divided into various electric corridors. It takes just 30 minutes to charge an EV and the company has launched EV corridors connecting important religious and tourist destinations with cities. BPCL has digitised the entire EV charger locator, charger operations, and transaction process through the HelloBPCL app for an online hassle-free and transparent user experience.

Kia has launched updated versions of its Sonet, Seltos and Carens models with enhanced petrol powertrains that are now compatible with E20 fuel. The 2023 Carens is equipped with a new Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi turbo petrol engine that replaces the Smartstream G1.4 T-GDi engine. Meanwhile, the Sonet has had its 1.5L CRDi WGT diesel engine replaced with the 1.5L CRDi VGT engine, offering an enhanced power output of 116PS. Prices for the updated models range from INR7.79 lakh ($10,600) to INR19.65 lakh.

Jio’s top median speed is 506 Mbps, compared to 268 Mbps for Bharti Airtel. Ookla’s February 28 report shows that median download speeds across India increased by 115% since before the 5G launch. India has over half a billion internet users, making it the second-largest online market worldwide.
